Knowledge is key. Ollie spent the day developing what he knows and he was the day incorporating this education into the youth athletic development classes this week.
Ollie has his masters degree in strength and conditioning and long term athletic development (LTAD) was a big part of it and something he's passionate about. When it comes to training 11-16 years this is what he has to say
"They should progress along/through a continuum of skills from childhood to adolescent. Skills learnt progress from broad, simple and basic to focussed, specific and complex. All these sessions will be fun and challenging and are a great way to develop skills and movement patterns from basic to complex, which has a carry over to all sports"
